Where my winos at?

Too busy popping uncorking bottles, I presume. Or, perhaps if already enlightened, at Los Feliz's Vinoteca Farfalla during their palate-pleasing happy hour.

As many Happy Hour-goers eventually realize, finding a good one can be much less fun than its name indicates. I know we should be happy that we're saving some cash – which is what the establishments are banking on - but mediocre finger food and a extremely limited selection of over-sweetened cocktail beverages is not my idea of a good time.

Which is why I can appreciate Vinoteca Farfalla not just for their discount-priced wines during the post-work rush, but for their extensive Happy Hour food menu, which is basically their regular menu...at nearly half the price.

Everything from salads big enough for 2 (try: the hearty, garlic-kissed Insalata Vinoteca), to their widely-lauded ceviche (you know, that dish that someone on the Food Network is ALWAYS making).

Space can be a little limiting for groups of 4 or more in the mostly bar-style seating eatery, but – with the help of a neighboring Brazilian restaurant – when it comes to the food, there's no skimping on size or flavor.
