With music, it is ease to sleep on some very talented artist, I along with many others, have been sleeping on Raheem Devaughn and his velvety neo soul vibe. This addictive new unreleased track “Ms. High Heels” is an ode to “that” woman at the club that makes heads turn. The track was originally intended for K-Murdocks Mood Muzik: Piano-rama, ended up a gem left off the album. The beat is jazzy and entrancing, with an “ever so slight” hint of reggae flavor, and is just what the doctor ordered to open some eyes to Mr. Devaughn. This laid back two step joint comes features a live band, and a piano that takes you for a cool ride, almost transporting you back to Harlem, during the roaring twenties, swinging and swaying to the music with a beautiful woman in hand. A step away from his normal mix of old school grooves and with a new attitude, Mr. Devaughn praises the women who stand tall and sexy in those heels, the ones that make the guys go crazy.
