It is such an elevated feeling, getting multiple tasks done at the same time. Today, while waiting for my car to be washed, I hungrily walked a couple blocks, and saw a simply sign said that read “8oz Burger Bar,” I stepped in, sat down with my note pad, had a great burger, did some work and found a new place to write about, all while waiting on the car to be done with its bath.

Greeted by subway tile and black lacquered wood accents, I was torn between the choice of sitting at the bar, or on the outdoor patio. A well laid out menu, illustrating my options to create my own perfect burger. Deciding to keep it basic, I added some “horseradish dijonaise,” to spicy it up a little. Simple signage an easy menu, great taste.

Many people are likely gasping, saying “such language!!!” I was torn initally whether to censor the song title and photo, but who am I to alter art. Cee-Lo Green’s new song “Fuck You” is just that, art in motion and it jams. I bet my grandmother would sing along to this witty and catchy joint right here. Exploring an era that not only provided great entertainment, but taught social awareness and responsibility to the masses; the night will include a selection of the best music and films from a timeline seventeen year time line (1980 – 1997).
